FAQ

Contractor accounts — your questions answered

What accounts do contractors need to file?
If you contract through a limited company, you must file statutory accounts at Companies House and a Corporation Tax return with HMRC every year, plus your own Self Assessment. We handle all three together so nothing is missed and they’re all consistent.
How much do contractor accounts cost?
We charge a fixed monthly fee that typically covers your company accounts, Corporation Tax, personal tax return, payroll and ongoing advice. For most contractors the tax we save and the time we hand back comfortably outweigh it.
Do you handle both my company and personal tax?
Yes — your limited company accounts and CT600, and your personal Self Assessment, all under one roof and one fee, so the figures line up and nothing falls through the gap.
How does IR35 affect my accounts?
IR35 affects how your income is taxed and how efficiently you can pay yourself. We review your position, structure your pay accordingly where you’re outside IR35, and keep records that support it.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes, and we manage the whole handover — most contractors are up and running with us within a couple of weeks.
